Donations

SCPN and its spokescat accept a generous donation.

We are a not for profit organization that relies on the generous donations from the citizens of Dryden and surrounding area. Donations are graciously accepted, with charitable receipts provided for all cash donations of $20 or more. Second Chance Pet Network is a registered charity, #85116 7858 RR0001.

To help with the cost of shelter, food and litter, we run a flea market at the shelter site, 26 King Street. We accept donations of gently used items (please, no clothing). These items are available for purchase for a monetary donation – we only require that the donation amount be reasonable in relation to the value of the items received.

We also manage the feral cat colonies at Dryden’s Highway 502 and Barclay Landfill sites, as well as the landfill site in Sioux Lookout, through a T-N-R program (trap-neuter-return). We accept donations of cat/dog food, Canadian Tire money or Extra Foods superbucks for the Food for Pets program for Dryden’s Food Bank. Recently, a low cost spay/neuter program has been put in place. A Kidz Klub is also available for children to participate.

New members and volunteers of all ages are welcome to become a Friend of Second Chance Pet Network. We are currently in need of foster homes for dogs as well, so we can start giving them a second chance.

Please download and fill out our SCPN Friends Application & Waiver (pdf).

Help create a shelter by purchasing a brick for $25.

A permanent shelter to service Dryden, Sioux Lookout and the surrounding area is desperately needed. Please donate to our Build-a-Shelter campaign. A $25 donation will purchase one brick in your name, in honour of someone else, in memory of a loved one, or just because.Watch the thermometer on the right rise, and come in to check out the  Campaign board at the Shelter.

KING THE CAT would like to say thank you sooooo much for the huge success at the benefit concert for SCPN. Many big thanks to Glenn Scheibler & The Ten Bucks On The Road Band, many a memory was brought back to their loyal fans. A performance extraordinaire. Also thanks to Paul Hampton for filling in when an accident prevented Open Faith from performing and we send prayers to Rod’s wife.
Awesome time had by all, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU and of course Silvia Scheibler for putting this all together, great job!
